  • Think reality. As horrible as Columbine was it still doesn't make cell phones in classrooms less of a distraction. Banning a boot in the Winter, that is worn for warmth, is moronic to be sure. But there is no legitimate reason for any Middle School child to have a phone in class.

  • Yeah, that makes "sense". Let's spend the first ten minutes of the class having to check each kid's phone for the power status instead of spending it TEACHING. There is no reason any child needs a phone in school and in class.

  • There is not one good reason a child in Middle School needs a phone on them at school. Not one. Banning the boots is silly but the intent is good. Frankly, suspend the little heathens if they're caught with a phone in class. Then the parents are forced to act like PARENTS.
